A new family member

So early in the marriage, yet we have already made the decision to adopt. He is a 30 pound white male and Mollie just loves him! Maggie tolerates him pretty well too! Jackson has become a loving member of our family and we are very excited to have him (if only he could keep his coat on...). It turns out, that Deidre's allergies could not quite hack Jackson's constantly shedding coat, so he has come to live with Aunt Kali and Uncle Pete. As you can see, he is taking very well to his new sister. Although I can only assume he dosen't want to share his kennel with Mollie, he is a very good big brother and does it anyway!

Funkle Pete

My new niece arrived about 6 weeks ago, giving poor future uncle Pete yet another new nickname...Funkle Pete (followed by many other nick names that may not be so appropriate!). We were fortunate to go out and visit a couple weeks after her birth, then enjoyed lots of time with the Ochsner family on Lexy's first trip to Omaha last week. We can't wait to see her again!

The Soon to be Landmark Family

This is a very exciting year for Pete and I. After a 12 year friendship and 4 years of dating, we will be tying the knot this fall. I will be acquiring a new roommate, and Pete will acquire a couple of animals. We will officially start our pack (aka family) on September 20. In the meantime, we are anxiously waiting to welcome our new niece into the world.
